4 days ago our government called into action a law that forbids charging tax on all items and services, except utilities. This is because our island was affected by lots of rain and flooding. People lost houses. This was meant to be for only a day to allow those affected to buy basic necessity items. Well what did you think happened? People (mostly and fortunately not affected) filled stores like Best Buy and Costco and bought all those items that we need to live... comfortably. Items like computers and plasmas. Because, hey, let's be honest, I NEED to have a 52 inch plasma in my living room or I might not be able to breathe. Why buy food when you can have a kick ass TV? Heck, go crazy, invite your neighbors over and ask them to bring some snacks and beer while you watch Monday Night Football.
And what could be even better? this offer has been extended until tomorrow (Saturday) 11:59pm! That's 4 whole days of Christmas Shopping. Procrastinators, this is your big chance: go get 'em!
P.S. I don't want to be a hypocrite.... I bought a mattress set. Oops!
