Trying to conceive (TTC) a baby is a very personal and delicate topic. It can bring out a lot of emotions. It can be a very happy moment in a couples lives or it could be a very frustrating thing. Of course, it might start like a fun thing: Hey honey, you know what that means?
Month 1
Him: We had sex HOW MANY times? Woah, that's a personal best! Do you think we can break that record?
Me: Sure! Let's go for it!
3 months later
Him: It's sex night!
Me:
3 months later
Him: It's sex night! (Still, honestly excited)
Me: Really? Have 2 days gone by already? Well, I guess we might as well do it. I could be ovulating after all...
Being one of those couples who are actually TTC at the moment, I can feel the pain. Not like what I just wrote happened to us! Of course not! We have sex around here like little bunnies *cough*. At the time of this post, we have been trying for 9 months. And even though that sounds like a lot, I know of too many women who have been trying for more than a year. More than a year!! Personally I've gone through several emotional states during these past months. A some point I was getting desperate, Like I want this to happen NOW! I WANT A BABY NOW! Then at some point things were settling around here. We had already moved, my husband JA started his new job and I was happy and relax. So I was more relaxed with this TTC part. I was even taking a class just for myself!
And then it happened: I received a Fit Pregnancy magazine. This is the part where you might be asking yourself why I receive that particular magazine. And that is a very good question. OK, OK, I confess. Back in January when we decided to start trying not only did I buy a subscription for this magazine, I also went online and bought some clothes that were on sale. Maternity Clothes! Talk about crossing the river before actually getting there. But that's not the point of this post. So back to my magazine: And there I am... reading all the articles, drooling over every new gadget and toy, and dreaming of a sweet little baby in my arms.
Which got me thinking? Is it sex night? I think I'm in the mood for some baby-making!
