I successfully completed 5 days without eating meat. It really wasn't bad at all. But then again DH wasn't here and I don't mind eating the same thing repeatedly. Ate salads, fruits, grains... I had some eggs and milk with my coffee. Overall it was a good experience. I am not sure I will continue but will definitely give it some serious thoughts.
In terms of how I felt and my weight, I don't have anything to report. I believe I would need to do this maybe for a month to notice some changes. One issue I had was the fact that I don't know what a portion looks like with this diet and that worries me. I might think I'm eating healthy and all but portions are a big part of maintaining a healthy weight, at least that has been my case. So in summary, if I do choose to do this for longer I would visit my nutritionist again and get some insight as to how I need to modify my calories and portions. I'll keep you posted.
