Countdown to the New Year

Wow, it's been a month since my last post!
How irresponsible of me...
Anyway, I'm not even sure what I've been doing that was so important. I guess stressing with my husband about money? Fortunately last week I got paid for some work I did during the Summer with a non-profit organization. I've been doing volunteer work for some years now and it was my first time with this one which mostly helps children with Autism. I decided that it would be a good idea if I bought the Christmas presents with what I earned and maybe that would help JA stop being grouchy and a Grinch worrying about money so much. So I went shopping for 2 days and haven't finished... and he hasn't helped. Whatever...

Only 18 days left 'till New Year's Eve. And I am happy. I don't mean happy that the year will end soon, although the fact that we'll be on a cruise does bring joy. I mean happy with my life. I feel at peace most of the time, love my partner and our relationship, and am so incredibly lucky to have Pumpkin in my life. I've been living more "in the moment" and enjoying our time together, just me and her. I'm not stressing the fact that it's been almost a year since we've been trying to conceive Baby #2. Time flies! I had to count 3 times just to make sure I had it right. yup, 11 months trying. And really, who knows when it will happen? But our life as a threesome is awesome! We enjoy making her laugh, reading in bed with her and family hugs. She's so freaking cute I could eat her up.

Last year I created a phrase that will capture my resolutions of this year. "Lightly Fashion". And before you think, WTF? It mostly meant that I would watch my weight, that's the "lightly" part of the phrase. And that I would pay more attention to how I dressed. Not necessarily spent money on clothes (but of course, I did) but just look like I thought about what I wore. Look put together. And I think I somehow improved the way I dressed. That's the "fashion" part. So I guess we can put a check mark on that. I haven't thought about next year's phrase but am still working on being healthy. The past few 4 months I've been doing good with my exercises, sometimes even exercising 5 times a week. For me, that's a LOT! I want to continue doing this and am not stopping during the Holidays, and our plan is not to stop during the cruise either. We'll see how that goes. In other words, I am practicing one of my resolutions while still in 2008.Hopefully that would help to stick with it.

Bring on the New Year, I am so excited!
