So Saturday I decided to go with him and help out, with Pumpkin. What an adventure it was. Even though I brought some toys, she obviously wanted to paint with her dad. And she managed to get paint on herself. After about 3 hours we decided to call his sister to ask for help and she was very kind to take her. So there I was, cleaning while he painted. Remembering her first home
We currently have 2 mortgages and sometimes it can create some stress. My dear husband, JA, has been dedicating a lot of his time to make our apartment rent appropriate: painting the walls, changing faucets and leaks, cleaning up, etc. I really haven't done a lot if I must confess. At first I did go and empty some random stuff we left behind that were mostly crap or at least not things that we needed to live. But then when it came time for painting, it was very hard for me to help with a toddler in tow. I don't think he was very convinced and pretty much thought I was being lazy... even if it was in his mind.

And then it happened. I startedcrying like a baby tearing up. I was erasing all the scribbles she left behind with her non washable crayons. (what was I thinking?) And I just couldn't control myself. This place is where she spent her first 2 years. A lot of "firsts" happened there. First laugh, first tooth, when she rolled over, when she crawled, when she walked, when she started eating, etc, etc. I am amazed by her every day and am very happy with our house. But being there reminded me of how much she has grown and that I no longer have a baby.
