Finally slept on my bed!

It's been almost 9 months since we've moved to our house. The moving company assembled our bed in our room, obviously. The thing is that AFTER me moved we realized the A/C was not working. So we just moved the mattress to the spare room thinking we would soon fix it. Apparently it is non fixable so we've been sleeping in the spare room from day 1. I tried to convince myself it's a zen-like experience but who's gonna believe that?

This weekend we finally gave up and decided to move our bed to the spare room and sleep like normal messy people. Aaah, how comfy! Of course this morning I didn't want to get up. I'm heading out to buy some flowers and have a pretty bouquet when I wake up.

Pee and more pee

I am so freakin' tired of all this bed wetting! Pumpkin is not potty trained but we had solved the pee leaking out of her diaper. It's been 3 consecutive mornings, plus other random ones that I need to wash sheets and try to control the urine odor. Anyone has a good idea of getting this done? Her mattress in new and stained, with some smell. Unfortunately, of the 3 days, 2 included my bed because she headed to our room in the wee hours of the morning. Nothing like rolling over in your bed and landing on a cold pee spot to start your day.

My bed is wet and I my oatmeal got burned

Not the happiest way to wake up.
Last night I got Pumpkin down at 730, and that is an accomplishment in itself. It's not THAT hard. After all she didn't get her nap and we were alone, so no distractions. I got to work a little bit more, and do nothing for a while longer. At 5:50am she went to my room, books in hand.
Come lay down next to mommy, I whisper.
No, I want to read books.

I give her one of those small palm size lamps to read and she wants milk. Really? It's not even 6 am! I get her Benadryl milk and make her promise she'll stay in silence. Next thing I know it's 9:00 am and my bed is soaked! I was pissed, literally. Pumpkin is a very heavy wetter, and some nights are worse than others. By soaked and heavy wetter I mean her clothes are all wet from chest to knees. But it's pretty much under control. I guess another cup of milk was too much for her diaper to handle.

Whatever, so I was starving and figured I would make some oatmeal. I put the milk in the stove and wait a bit until it got warm. I suppose it doesn't really count as waiting if you're in the computer and by the time you realize the milk is hot is because you can smell it. Obviously, I had no oatmeal and I still have some scrubbing to do. Burnt milk can be a pain! On the bright side, I did have 2 cups of coffee :)
